Description: perennial; 'Rosea' is a cultivar with dark pink flowers as opposed to the typical white; a low, spreading perennial groundcover that spreads somewhat aggressively via rhizomes. Easy to grow and reliably hardy in any soil type (including clay). Lily of the Valley has played a huge part in history as a symbol of love and is the national flower of Finland as well as the official May Day flower in France. Fragrant dark pink bell flowers bloom most of spring and are followed by inedible red berries.
