Description: perennial; a hybrid (C. aurea × C. pottsii) introduced by Victor Lemoin in 1886 . Widely popular for its sturdy, upright bronze-green foliage and apricot-yellow flowers with dark calyces in late summer. Makes an excellent cut flower.

Position: full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil
Uses: ornamental, floral arrangements, to attract hummingbirds
