Description: perennial; a clump-forming bulb from South Africa with grassy foliage and multiple stalks of long-blooming, tubular orange flowers in spring and sporadically throughout summer. Though it doesn't have the best reputation for hardiness ours has withstood multiple freezes around 10 F in a well-drained site.


Height: to 1 ft. Spread: to 1 ft.


Position: full sun and well-draining soil


Uses: ornamental, to attract pollinators


Winter Hardiness: to 10 F and below, fast-draining soil is a must to prevent bulbs from rotting away in severe winters.
