Description: evergreen shrub; gray-green foliage and slender, tapered flower spikes that have pinkish buds before blooming. Fragrance is strong, sweet, and pleasant. Habit is more sprawling and fan-shaped than the similar cultivar 'Alba'.

Notes: 'Edelweiss' is often sold incorrectly as 'Alba' and vice versa. Futhermore, some authorities believe the cultivar 'Caty Blanc' to be a missaplied synonym of 'Edelweiss'. 'Hidcote White' and 'White Spike Grosso' or 'White Grosso' have also both been missaplied to 'Edelweiss' and 'Alba'
