Description: evergreen shrub; Vigorous growth into an ultimately large shrub. Very large, long dark purple flower spikes on very long stems, ideal for crafting. One of the best for mass plantings and hedges.

Corolla: violet-blue

Calyx: dark violet

Bloom season: mid summer

Best Uses: landscaping, rock gardens, essential oil, bouquets, crafts


Origin: a triploid hybrid (L. ×intermedia ‘Seal’ × L. angustifolia) bred by Dr. Nigel Urwin of Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia and introduced by Clive Larkman of Larkman Nurseries (2003) 


Position: full sun and well-draining soil

Drought: adapted to 4 months of summer drought
