Description: evergreen shrub/tree; a relatively small, stately magnolia from SW China. Rounded, smooth green foliage and fragrant cream white flowers in spring. Undersides of leaves take on a bronze color in warmer weather months. Tolerates some shade.
Height: to 10 ft. Spread: to 8 ft.
Position: full sun and well-draining soil
Uses: ornamental
Winter Hardiness: to 5 F and below
