Description: perennial; thought to be a cultivar of Mentha arvensis. Foliage arises from dormancy in late spring after most other mints and smells strongly of banana peels. A very unique mint with a less aggressive spreading habit than most. Popular in beverages and desserts.

Position: sun or shade, any soil. Mints generally spread aggressively by rhizomes and can quickly become a nuisance in the garden. We strongly recommend growing them in containers to prevent unwanted spreading.
