Description: perennial; reputed to have entered the horticultural trade via the Persian community of San Francisco. A pleasant, mild spearmint with bright green leaves and flowers in summer. A favorite for fresh dishes where only a mild spearmint flavor is desired.


Height: to 2 ft. Spread: to 6 ft.


Position: sun or shade, any soil. Mints generally spread aggressively by rhizomes and can quickly become a nuisance in the garden. We strongly recommend growing them in containers to prevent unwanted spreading.


Uses: medicine, aromatherapy, cosmetics, culinary- beverages, sauces, candies, syrups, etc.
