Description: perennial; a lesser-known culinary herb with a sweet, anise flavor and gorgeous fern-like foliage. All parts of the plant are edible and are commonly used as a natural sweetener to cut the amount of sugar needed in recipes and reduce the acidity of tart fruits. Especially great for strawberry rhubarb pies!
