Description: evergreen shrub; rounded growth with aromatic, gray-green foliage that becomes silver-gray in summer. Whorls of large yellow flowers on long stems in summer.

Position: full sun and well-draining soil. Will tolerate nearby root competition from larger trees such as pines and firs.


Uses: ornamental, to attract pollinators


Winter Hardiness: to 5 F and below


Drought: adapted to 5 months of summer drought
