Description: evergreen shrub; endemic to the Balearic Islands despite the confusing species epithet (Linnaeus had received the holotype via Italy, ugh). Rounded growth with aromatic foliage and whorls of dark pink flowers in summer.

Position: full sun and well-draining soil

Drought: adapted to 5 months of summer drought
