Description: perennial; a semi-evergreen shrub native to rocky slopes and sand dunes in the Cape Provinces of South Africa. Vigorous, upright growth with aromatic, gray-green foliage and huge bronze-orange flower spikes in summer. Used medicinally to treat respiratory ailments. Requires lean, fast-draining soil to thrive.
