Description: perennial; a selection of S. bellum collected from Rocky Point near Carmel, California and introduced by Native Sons Nursery. Larger flowers and more vigorous than typical forms of S. bellum. Clumping growth with broad, grass-like foliage and purple-blue flowers from spring and into summer.
Height: to 6 in. Spread: to 8 in.
Position: full sun and well-draining soil
Uses: ornamental, to attract pollinators
Winter Hardiness: to 10 F and below
