Description: evergreen shrub; a compact, low growing form of T. flavum. Glossy green foliage and pale yellow flower spikes in summer. Tough and long-lived.


Height: to 1 ft. Spread: to 18 in.


Position: full sun and well-draining soil


Uses: ornamental, to attract pollinators


Winter Hardiness: to 5 F and below


Drought: adapted to 4 months of summer drought

Care: no special care needed, spent flower spikes can be removed in late summer

Notes: sold by several nurseries in California as T. chamaedrys 'Alba' though it actually keys out to T. flavum.
