Description: evergreen shrub; raised and named by Hilliers Nursery of the UK in 1967 and thought to be a hybrid of P. fruticosa and P. russeliana. Aromatic heart-shaped leaves and long stems with up to four whorls of two-toned yellow flowers in summer.
Height: to 4 ft. Spread: to 5 ft.
Phlomis 'Le Sud'
Description: evergreen shrub; a French selection thought to be a hybrid of P. fruticosa and P. longifolia. Vigorous, rounded growth with narrow, silver-edged leaves and bright yellow flower whorls from late spring into summer.
